A must to prevent hyper blink

Although you can just drop some LED bulbs on, it will cause hyper blinking and possibly a false failure light. The resistors will ensure proper functionality as if they were OEM.

Didn't think I'd need it for 2023 Tacoma

No hyper flashing occurred after installing the Total Trail Stage 1 unless I accidentally hit the turn signal while reversing. Not something I've ever done before but I wanted to try all possibilities. Since I already had the resistors I installed them and now all possibilities of hyper flashing has been removed. I just wished that they would come with the option of sticky backs

Be ware

Did not even use them , as truck is already equipped for led bulbs.

I belive that 2019 and up don't require them and 2016-2018 possible required.

These plug and play resistors fit in line with our total tail kits to fix the hyper flashing issue on your truck. These load resistors are designed with a plug specific to our total tail light kits but you are able to cut and splice them for other kits if needed. These resistors are 10 Ohm 25 Watt.

This kit comes with two load resistors, one for each tail light.
